Darren was excellent and performed a very thorough inspection. He took his time and explained in detail to me items that I should be concerned about. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing an inspection in the future.

Darren was unfortunate enough to meet us for a home inspection on possible the coldest day of all time, and as such he could have spent a few less minutes outside. Well, he didn't, and instead spent 4+ hours inspecting every inch of the property. The report we got back from Darren and Excel was detailed, included tons of pictures, and was a key factor in us gaining additional leverage when negotiating with the seller. He also made sure to point out tons of issues that we couldn't negotiate with the seller, but were things we would want to fix ourselves once we bought the house. This is HUGE because we never would have know about most of these issues. Darren, thanks for your time and attention. You truly made a difference here, and we appreciate it. Daren did a great job. I was 5 minutes late to meet him for the inspection and he'd already started working, taking pictures of findings, and recording information about the house. He did a great job of explaining details and educating me on what meets code and what it would take to meet code. Even after I closed on my house, I'd forgotten how to turn the water to the washing machine during the final walk through. I called him, he responded quickly, and he walked me through it from memory. I would recommend Darren to friends.

Darren did a thorough inspection on the property we were going to purchase. His report included pictures of what exactly were the issues and clear instructions on how each one should be rectified. We needed a re-inspection in the morning of the closing and even though he was fully booked, he was willing to squeeze in the time to do it for us and actually ended up spending more time with us than he had planned. Throughout the inspection, Darren took the time to patiently explain what he was looking for and why. He also provided recommendations for smaller issues and areas that might need attention later on, in case I wanted to fix them myself. The Redfin agent was so impressed with his work that he said he would start using Excel for his future clients too
