Very seldom is one in a position to change someone's life, but he really did. If it hadn't been for his efforts, I don't know what we would have done. Probably be in an overpriced apartment that we hate. As it stands, we absolutely love the house! My pug is getting up there in age, so I'm happy that he finally has a back yard to run in. I'm able to have fun chasing the puppy around. My wife loves the privacy that we were sorely lacking before. Underwriting didn't make anything easy, but bottom line, it got done, and we're all very happy.

I used Dave's services twice, and neither time was good. The first time, the multiple levels of approval and red tape at Guaranteed Rate made the experience challenging, but the approval ultimately went through and Dave stayed in touch with me afterward. So, I reached out again for a second purchase. Dave was quick to sell the pre-approval to me and got the process moving. Then, just days from closing, after telling me I had to increase the amount of the loan to qualify as a Guaranteed Rate borrower, Dave told me I was not approved! If Guaranteed Rate could not lend me the money for this purchase, I have no problem with that. The problem was timing and transparency. Dave was obviously more concerned about getting my pre-approval and adding to his sales numbers than he was with shooting straight with me. Dave had established himself in my mind as someone I could trust, but this experience showed me the exact opposite. I had to pull the plug on my purchase days from close, and my family and I were set back several months in our investment process. I will never use Dave or Guaranteed Rate again. If the problem is with the company, Dave should work elsewhere. If the problem is with Dave, he needs to work on his upfront sales tactics. Know when to fire a customer - much sooner than days before closing.
