In the end I got a pretty good deal, but the whole experience was horrible. It's like I was buying a used car from a guy in a pinstriped suit. He refused to put anything in writing and kept calling me at all hours even though I clearly, multiple times asked him to send me an email instead. At one point early in the process he even texted me- how unprofessional can you get? It felt like they were trying to sugar me up being "helpful" instead of simply giving me the information I needed. If your rates are good, you shouldn't need all the buttering up. It made me think they their rates were not as good as I thought they were and kept checking other offers just in case. Even with the online chat help, I had to spend thirty minutes convincing the guy to send me the document I asked for. It did sound like the title company was very happy with their responsiveness and service, and the deal closed on time. Just wish it hadn't costed so much anxiety and anger on my end.
