We have purchased 12 houses to date and the only other loan agency that would compare with academy is wells fargo from who I also made the mistake of going with once. I was handed off to numerous academy employees one of which was excellent then back to the inexperienced and uninformed. I can't begin to tell you the frustration we never knew where the loan was and even after they said it was approved they needed that one more bit of information no I could not recommend this company to anyone!

Jon and his team did an outstanding job for us. The quality and thoroughness of their process was second to none. Jon and his team truly do care about making their customers first. We will be using them again and would highly recommend Academy Mortgage to anyone.

I do not recommend Jon's team to other potential homeowners. When we did not qualify for the mortgage, they led us on for two weeks and pulled the rug out from under us on the day we had expected to close on the house, rather than informing us in a timely manner. We had been told that we were through underwriting and just finessing the final details as late as two days prior to closing. The day before expected closing we had heard nothing regarding the status of our loan. We called throughout the day but none of our calls were answered or returned. We only found out our reason for not qualifying us two days later. The entire time we had been told that the process was moving along fine and that we were on track for our loan. The lack of communication and professionalism, if not blatant dishonesty, is why I cannot recommend Jon's team, and by extension Academy Mortgage, to anyone looking to buy a home.

Jon and his team were excellent throughout our whole home buying process. He made it very easy and painless to purchase our first home. He made sure to keep us informed every step of process. I don't believe we would have gotten our offer accepted over others if it were not for his team's excellent work and our agent working together.
