I originally started working with one of Evergreen's members to begin my home purchase, and that individual was extremely attentive and informative. Unfortunately, they had a departure from the "team" and I was unable to work with that individual any longer, and my home purchase was assigned to another member of the team. This individual was not able to provide the kind of knowledgeable and confident service I expected from the team, and ended up requesting and being switched to the branch manager for service. Less than a week prior to closing, the lender informed me that there was an additional inspection that needed to be performed prior to closing, which would take a number of days - the lender had ample opportunity to collect and review the information about the loan program, and provide more timely notice of this requirement. Additionally, the lender failed to provide any guidance/direction regarding those requirements or whose responsibility they were. Altogether it was not a wholly negative process, as the lender was ultimately able to provide me a competitive mortgage product (though they will sell it shortly and not service it long), but without my diligence and staying on top of the purchasing process and the moving parts behind the scenes, I believe many things could have been missed and I would not have been able to close on time.
