I had a great loan officer to begin with Tucker Pentz, and then he moved to another job. We then started to work with his manager- Anna, who was totally inattentive, would not respond to emails for days on end (4 days - and this was in the week before we were supposed to be closing) As I assumed- the closing date was pushed back despite having fulfilled all the requirements on my end- I would get needed paperwork to the officer/bank within 10-15 minutes of request. I was beyond appalled with the service that Anna Mahnke provided. Our homebuying process (on the lender end) went from a smooth and even enjoyable process- to a total nightmare full of stress and unknowing. At the closing date (which was over a week late due to our new loan officer ignoring our file for over a week)- I was at the closing table and had questions for Anna- she would not pick up any of my calls, nor would she pick up any of my agents calls- the only way I got into touch with her was calling on a phone number she didn't recognize, and lo and behold she returned that new number immediately. I was not pleased to say the least, and throughout the process I made sure to really stay kind- after all we did need her to be on our team, so I made sure not to be a "difficult" client. All in all we went with BoA because of their awesome down payment grant programs- and luckily we were able to have a good loan officer to begin with- but I am not surprised that he left BoA with someone like Anna as his manager.
