Tony was a nice guy but absolutely did not have what it takes to be a loan officer. BofA rejected the loan due to insufficient condo insurance policy, and then we received formal decline letter that says there was a second reason we were declined: we did not have sufficient funds! That was a serious error as it was not true and it could make it impossible for us to get the earnest money back. The reason was that Tony did not submit all the paperwork before the underwriter reviewed our case. More than 1 week went by and BofA could not correct their erroneous decline letter for us! Luckily our agent did a lot of communication with the seller's agent and got us the money back. To this day we still do not have the correct letter from BofA! When it comes to home mortgage, getting the right loan officer is definitely a lot more important than you imagine.
