I've been a BECU member since 1988. All my savings, checking, car loans, refi of our Newcastle mortgage were exceptional. This experience with BECU for the mortgage on the Burien house was not. I left voice mails and sent e-mails to Gina, and no response. When I finally got her on the phone, she told me that Tanisha was actually my loan contact. It would have ideal and professional to have at least let me know that, without me having to dig.

Horrible experience, I will absolutely never recommend anyone get a home loan from BECU. I knew our loan would be tricky because I hadn't been self-employed for two years. It's the first question on the application and I asked Gina multiple times if there were any red flags on our application. She clearly didn't read it or doesn't understand BECU's loan requirements because it wasn't until a week into the process that the underwriter denied the loan. Thankfully Amie Edmondson at Prospect Mortgage is incredible and came through for us with a loan at a better rate.
