We came to know Jeff through the recommendation of our realtor after working with two previous lenders and not being successful. Because I had been through the process of working with two previous lenders and on both occasions losing out on properties days before closing I was ready to try a different approach. From my first conversation with Jeff I could tell that this experience was going to be different in a good way. We had an in depth discussion about what my goals were and he then provided me with a plan to accomplish it. His team was very organized, detailed and accessible. It took a little time from the time we first spoke until we could start working together. However, Jeff did not forget about me, he followed up to see how things were going and to make sure that we could proceed. Everyone has unique circumstances my situation was no different. I had to satisfy various conditions in order to receive full approval. This experience was new to me so I needed to be fully briefed as to why certain things were necessary in order to complete the transaction. Jeff and his team took the time to provide me with detailed explanations of every aspect of the process that was not clear to me. This was important because of my previous experiences. The main thing that sets Jeff and Apex apart in my opinion is their ability to get you FULLY APPROVED not just pre-approved. I liked the fact that my file was submitted to the underwriting department for review before I went looking for a property. I recommend every home buyer go about the process this way. I relied on pre-approvals from other lenders and then when I found a property I was then subjected to the underwriting process which ultimately identified issues that I could not correct in time to close the transaction. Jeff was extremely helpful when it came to helping me understand which properties were in line with my debt to income ratio. I would send him a ton of properties to clear. The Mortgage Coach application that he uses was excellent at breaking down what the monthly payment would be on each property and identifying the maximum purchase price. Jeff and his team monitored my credit profile so I didn't have to worry about any surprises prior to closing. Jeff and his team worked tirelessly to help us get the eventual property we closed on. I know he took time away from his family on a weekend to assist in closing the transaction. That level of dedication is why I hold Jeff in the highest regard. The night before closing after reading though the paperwork I had questions about the way some items were explained. I spoke with a member of his team for at least an hour after 8:00pm. She took her time to fully explain what I saw and why it was necessary. She alleviated my concerns and we successfully closed the next day. When the time comes for an upgrade I will undoubtedly seek Jeff's services. The same day we closed I recommended Jeff and his team to friend.
