This was our second time using Steve as our home inspector. Steve was very thorough and helped to point out both positives and negatives about the home we were considering purchasing. He was extremely prompt and detailed in his report as well.

Steven is very good. He did a thorough inspection. Gave us many good advices and suggestions. He is not cheap, but the money was well spent.

Steven came out on short notice. I asked him to come out on 24 hours notice. He was booked and could squeeze me in within 48 hours but as soon as a cancellation came up, he called me back and came out the following day. He turned around the report really quick, gave me a bunch of pointers (especially important since I have never lived in or owned a house before) and said I could call him anytime. I can't rate Steven a 10 because he was also conduction a Radon test and the house had a radon mitigation system. The test had clear instruction to be 2 feet from any wall and to keep the heat above 60. He placed the test a few inches from a wall and did not let me know about the heat. He brought me out a new test and said he didn't know that was necessary which is concerning. Wasted a few days having to redo the test and time to drive to and from the house to place a new test.

Steve did a good job. He pointed out some defects with the house and his report was provided in a timely manner. During the inspection, Steve took his time, and was pretty thorough. His estimates for remediation costs of several defects were pretty broad (eg. $1000-$7000), which isn't very helpful for determining the extent of necessary repairs. But all in all, I'd pass his information along.
