I think this should have been included in the purchase of the property. The inspector told me that the AC was 'ok'. I know, they can not predict when a piece of equipment is going to fail... It's just bad timing I guess. I knew that the AC was going to need some work but not even ONE DAY after moved in the main 5-ton unit went out and had to spend additional money to get it fixed. Not complaining, just stating a fact, and maybe factor this in the cost of the property for the next house. Spending $8 - 10K not in budget HURTS :(
