Mike has a very outgoing personality as well as great knowledge of housing. He explained all of the problem areas and his final inspection report was very detailed making it easy to execute and necessary maintenance fixes.

I have never used another home inspector and I hope that I never have to. If you are purchasing a home, you want the best. Mike is the best. He goes above and beyond to make sure you have as much information as possible before going forward with a home purchase and/or negotiating with the seller. He goes through the house meticulously, explains things in as much detail as you want, and is happy to answer any questions you have along the way. He truly wants you to understand the issues he's documenting but also gives you a 101 on how to maintain a house. He does a great job of tailoring his explanations to the buyer's knowledge-level. In the end, you have an amazing inspection report with a summary and detail that is organized by category (plumbing, electrical, roof, etc.) and by severity (recommendation, maintenance, repair/replace, and safety). It couldn't be easier to refer to when you are negotiating and prioritizing or hiring a contractor.

Michael Millspaugh from Cover your Assets was an excellent inspector. He was prompt, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable across all trades and looked at every detail of the home I was purchasing. His documentation was excellent as I received a very thorough inspection report that I was able to leverage to get a few necessary repairs completed by the sellers prior to closing. With Mike you are going to know what you are buying for sure.

He obviously enjoys his job and he seems to do it well. He takes the time to walk around and explain everything he sees and how important anything he finds is to fix, which really helps you to prioritize what you are going to ask for the sellers to fix.

Mike performed a very detailed inspection. He explained what he was looking for at all steps and further explained whether a fault was cosmetic, threatening, or endangered life or limb. He was patient to explain about repairs and left written tips and labels to help long after he was complete. Later, when we discovered a leak in the plumbing, Mike took our call, advised on repairs and offered several licensed plumbers to assist.

Mike did a really thorough job inspecting the house. We walked around with him pretty much everywhere (though I didn't follow him onto the roof), and he explained everything he was finding as he went. His report is very detailed, with pictures and full explanations. I would definitely go with him again.

Mike is definitely on your side! He is absolutely through, and leaves notes and tags both on the pipes and the inspection report to make life easier! Very knowledgeable (especially on electrical issues) and adds humor which makes the whole day better.

Absolutely the best inspection I've ever had done. Found things that would have easily been overlooked by any other inspector. Spectacular!
