Since 2001 I've been working with Homebuyers in purchasing their first home or building their Real Estate Portfolio. In 2006, I opened 'Open Home Mortgage' after experiencing and being frustrated with the inefficiencies of the Mortgage Industry.

We had a closing package out in 15 business days from receiving all of the initially requested documentation. This is an extremely quick turn-around time, by any/industry standards, from receiving all initially requested documentation. Although I requested the documentation over a month prior to receiving it all, the customer hesitated as I believe they were shopping around. This is understandable, however the timeline I was given to work with was extremely short. As we got closer and closer to the Contract Closing date, I kept reminding the client that time was running very short, and that they needed to decide who they were going to use to obtain their mortgage—be it us or another company. I shared this urgency with both clients and the Realtor, and also explained how the hesitation on the part of the client may delay closing. Through the process, I personally exchanged a total of no less than 160 emails with the clients. In addition, the client had my personal cell #, and we spoke on many occasions (sometimes for over an hour) after-hours and on the weekends. I do try to be as available as possible, and believe accomplished this very well. If I could not answer, I never left a call unreturned immediately. The 3-4 other people on my team were my Receptionist/Set-up, Processor, and Assistant. This is very normal, and by structuring the process this way, we always have someone available to speak with to answer any questions or address any concerns in case one or any of us are unavailable or on the phone. In addition to the very short time-frame given, there were a few discrepancies in the loan file and documentation provided by the clients. We addressed these in an extremely timely fashion and secured the very best Mortgage Loan at an extremely low/competitive rate. I really do not know how my communication could have been any better—although I do remain open to constructive criticism and continue to adjust our processes to stay current to the market and state of the industry. I know that it is simply impossible to satisfy everyone 100%, however if given the opportunity, I can explain the processes and address all concerns so that we do satisfy as many clients as possible. I believe my other reviews share this. I do sincerely regret that ultimately the client is not completely satisfied, and only wish that I could have addressed these concerns sooner than hearing about the displeasure after the fact. If there is anything that I can do at this point to clarify any points, or if there is any constructive criticism, I am most certainly open to it.
