Fidelity never personally contacted me; I contacted them to confirm that the digital portal they sent me out of the blue wasn't spam or attempted fraud. I also contacted them to confirm the wire instructions/account information, and later to confirm that they received the wire transfer. The staff was friendly and helpful during those calls. Unfortunately, Fidelity took a long time to complete and send the closing statement; it wasn't ready two business days prior to the closing, so I overpaid on the advice of my attorney. (Fidelity did overnight me a check for the overage after the closing, but that wouldn't have been necessary if they had prepared the closing documents faster so I could wire the exact amount needed.) Also, on the day of closing, Fidelity took forever getting us the closing documents, and the closer was not very available because he or she was in closings all day. It would have been a better experience if the documents could have been prepared and sent to my attorney faster, but at least Fidelity staff are friendly and helpful.
