Jay was attentive and thorough. He came into our transaction mid-stream and honored the rate/terms of his predecessor. Very pleased with that alone. Jay checked in periodically and always stayed upbeat. Where he is apt to solve a client's problems, he was doing much more behind the scenes that I/we had known. I highly recommend choosing Jay as your lender. The personal paperwork and records you have to compile for underwriting is staggering, and he is there to help you in every way. He was always there to explain the process, outline my lending options, and help me understand the long term implications of each choice. When I learned of some errors on my credit report, he was able to help me clear them quickly and improve my credit score, which dramatically improved the terms of my loan. In the last week before closing, we encountered an issue and had to change title companies. Jay was recommended by Redfin, he was great through out lending process. I got quote from three lenders, two from Redfin suggested list and one big bank. Jay was competitive in terms of loan cost and interest rate and he had confident to close on time, which other lender were not so sure. Also he knows about Redfin rebates and selected underwriters based on that. Overall very positive experience.
