Bill Marshall was great to work with. The rates were very competitive and much better than big banks and credit unions. He was very prompt at returning calls and emails. I needed a form after normal business hours and he sent it over that night, something you could never do with a bank. The finance contingencies with our loan allowed us to have a stronger offer. My only improvement would be the website docs are submitted to doesn't show what you uploaded. Also some administration things we would submit and not hear confirmation back. Overall a great lender with good personalized service and great rates.

Bill was easy to use but do your research and definitely shop around for rates. In the end, I received good customer service but had to be very pushy about a new rate as the mortgage rates continued to significantly decline. Watch the market and make sure you let bill know you are watching it too. Bill is VA home loan knowledgeable but completely dropped the ball on making sure the lender he used was VA energy efficient improvement eligible. This was brought up from day one and in the end I believed I could use the VA allowed cash to make energy improvements but CMG mortgage, (the company that actually holds my mortgage) did not allow it, even though the disclosure sheet had a box checked on it indicating such was allowed in the process. Just ask more questions up front and make sure Bill follows through and you cant go wrong. In the end he covered all my closing costs so the VA energy efficient ball drop wasn't as big of a deal to me. It definitely would have had been a deal breaker if I had contributed to my closing costs

Bill was great. He answered all my questions and kept things moving. Towards the end we had some hiccups during waiting on closing disclosures and working directly with Escrow and Bill's team. There might have been miscommunication or lack of communication within Escrow and his team, but in the end we closed early. Other than the 1 week of closing disclosure issues, we had a great experience. I wouldn't really blame Bill's team for it since Escrow was a big issue for us. Bill was great, and I preferred to work with hI'm rather than his team.

Bill Marshall and Merchants Realty we're my second choice lender to buy this property but should have been my first. He shocked my wife and I by offering us a no BS great deal that we'd have been fools to pass up. Additionally, even after circumstances out of their control delayed closing, they were able to close before the deadline. Has my strongest recommendation to any future home buyer.

Great service! While others I know went through hell with their lenders and ended up closing days after the date they were orginally scheduled to close, Bill and his team made sure I was ready to close days BEFORE our scheduled close date. There was a little confusion on funds to close and Bill addressed it immediately. I would have given them a 10 except that Bill promised me a breakdown of funds, so that I could understand why it was funds to close was significantly more than exxpected and I have yet to receive it almost a week after closing.
