Honestly, giving them a 2 out of 10 is extremely fair. We only used this title company because it was the preferred company of the seller of the initial house we were under contract with and this turned out to be a major mistake. We genuinely were relieved when the initial deal on our first house fell through (because of a seller issue) because we knew it meant that at least we wouldn't be stuck with this company. From the very beginning the staff has terrible communication (i.e., no communication at all with us unless we constantly followed up) and the owner/attorney who we were unfortunate enough to have to communicate with several times was sooo incredibly condescending and brash with each interaction; he was even so rude with our agent at one point that she had to end a call early with him. Even when an issue on the seller's side popped up just DAYS before closing, the title company never proactively reached out to tell us; we only found out when we reached out to find out about timing of receiving the final settlement statement. It was a HORRID experience with them and I do not recommend them at all. The only reason we gave a rating of 2 (instead of 0 or 1) is because at least they made the process of receiving our earnest money deposit back quick and relatively easy.
