I had Perry Farnum look over a house I wanted to buy a few years back. His report was so thorough I had to have him come out and look over the house I'm looking to buy now. Perry really know building codes and what will become termite problem, hazards, safety issues etc. and can suggest ways to fix them. Because his report is so complete, it's a great checklist and easy for me to prioritize works that needs to be done. I would recommend Perry to friends and family and should I be in the market to buy another house, I hope he hasn't retired by then because I would be asking him to look over that house too!

Very thorough. Looked over all parts of the house and sent us a detailed report that was well laid out. He addressed a lot of questions we had even after the inspection was done.

Like many real estate service types, these people are of limited use and are mostly a just one more fee on top of all the other fees. But they are an insurance policy that you can't risk not having, so you are going to pay. In short, somewhat useful but worth about half of what is charged. (The same applies to most such services and service providers.) These guys are as good as any of the others.

The Perry Farnum home inspector was thorough and informative. This was our son's first home buying experience, and the inspector took the time to explain all the items about which he had a concern and give suggestions as to the possible remedies and the urgency of each item. Overall very helpful.
