We found the website easy to navigate and personnel responsive. On occasion, the website sent us messages that were out of sync with where we were in the application process but humans were always there to explain that the system was producing standardized prompts and to advise when to ignore them. Would have been helpful to know up front that there would be no formal mortgage loan commitment, just “so far so good” conditional clearing of hurdles.

Quicken Loans has zero accountability. Each member of the "team" talks a good game, following the Quicken Loans scripts, but they have no real sense of what they are doing. Inaccuracies in the documents, unwillingness to fix them, verbal gymnastics to avoid giving direct but maybe negative answers, inability to see the ramifications of their errors. If you are a first-time buyer you would probably be unaware of all the things Quicken Loans says that sound true and absolute, but aren't. However, as an experienced buyer I was sorely disappointed and shocked by the "herd 'em up" mentality...reminiscent of the pre-recession mortgage cattle calls. Since federal lending laws have essentially made all lenders have the same loan packages, I strongly recommend finding another lender who might have accountability.

Excellent communication and closed in less than 30 days. The agents also had nothing but superlative things to say about the lender.
