Guild is a very fast and efficient company. The only problem is that we felt bombarded at times with documents. It was repetitive because we sent the same documents over and over again because it seemed like there was lack of communication with eachother on their end. Other than that, we really liked working with Josh from Guild. He was always available and wanted to be as precise and quick as possible.

Guild Mortgage made the lender process way easier than I thought it could be. They consistently kept me updated and informed me of where I was in the process. They also answered all my questions within a few hours of emailing them. During my process I was in contact with three individuals for Guild Mortgage and each of them were friendly, knowledgeable and prompt to respond to my questions. Not once did I question if I made a wrong decision by going through them as my lender.

I chose Guild Mortgage after reading an Internet article about them at the beginning of my house hunting research. Shortly after talking with an agent they coincidentally recommend Guild Mortgage to me, which basically sold me on them. But it wasn’t until I started working with Josh Hergert that I knew I made the right choice. He was a real professional to work with. Not to mention he always having a “great day”. Josh always answered my calls and had an exact answer for me either immediately or after some quick research and a return call. I could possibly have had the best team there at Guild, im not sure but there was no need to look any further as Josh was always supportive of my ideas and fully understood what I was after and why. His assistant Shelly Nguyen-Jefferson always kept me up to speed with info. Shelly did a great job of keeping me on task with her “Tuesday updates” of items I was either missing or needed to get in order so I would be ready for the next step. Nearly everything went as planned... nearly. We had a hiccup with one step along the way and in less than two days Josh and Shelly worked their “mortgage magic” and had us right back on track as if it never happened. Then we ran into this “Covid escrow process shenanigans” that was going to affect my financing and potential disrupt my closing. Once again Josh got back to me with his “great day” and Shelly with the good news that we closed on time. Thank you again Josh Hergert and Shelly Nguyen-Jefferson. I will recommend you both to anyone who asks about my mortgage company. I am looking to make another purchase in a few years and look forward to working with you again.
