New American really worked with my husband and me in getting the lowest rate possible. They also have a very streamlined process for letting buyers know where they are in the funding process. Karen Chiu was always so responsive and helpful and most of all patient! I cannot even count how many preapprovals she wrote for us during our two-year search process.

Okay, so we love Karen... After our terrible experience with RPM, we felt like our deal was beyond saving. Karen and her team (who never seem to sleep or something because they answer emails within minutes) took all our information, found us a great deal on a complicated financial picture with self employment and out of state investment income, and closed ahead of schedule. I really wish we'd just gone to her in the beginning. We would have been in our house sooner and way less stressed out. Couldn't be happier with our experience.

Her team worked with me to secure the rate and make my closing on time. She has great experience with live work lofts in older buildings which are out of the norm for most lenders. She is not afraid of these type of condominiums and navigated all of the hurdles that underwriters are concerned. Karen is available nearly 24/7 to help get trough the snags. Karen was so easy to work with to get funded for my purchase. She has great relationships in the industry to help process requests quickly and get access to information quickly. Her team is very responsive to questions and explaining process (as it was my first purchase in California) and helped me get comfortable that they were taking care of me. We closed under challenging circumstances: seller wanted an expedited close, I had international travels for work, and also being out of state (until I physically move into my new home!). We locked in a great rate, it was extended for a couple days without having to pay up to accommodate some signing challenges we had (i.e., my being out of state) and I am pleased with the end results - a successful purchase! I would definitely recommend Karen and her team to anyone.
