Shawn was contacted first in our desire to relocate from Out of State and purchase a home in Virginia. We needed to confirm if buying a home Before selling our existing home was possible with low reportable income, but able to present financial assets. He professionally outlined how that could be done, and provided us with a Mortgage Approval Letter, enabling us to submit a strong offer and get the home we seeked.

We had a very mixed experience working with Embrace. On the one hand, Shawn did a good job making himself available during the process and did his best to answer our questions and concerns in a timely manner. On the other hand, he seemed to occasionally shoot from the hip when answering our questions, and it gave the impression that it was more important for him to respond with any answer rather than the right answer. Additionally, my wife and I were frustrated that she was often left out of crucial correspondence for no explicable reason. Most important regarding our experience, an issue arose during the underwriting process that nearly caused the loan to fall through. This was an issue related to income qualification, but it was very frustrating because my wife and I had identified it ourselves as a potential issue very early in the process and had brought it up with Shawn, but he insisted it would not be a problem. Ultimately, the issue was resolved, and we recognize the great amount of additional effort that this required on Shawn and Embrace's part, but it caused a tremendous amount of stress on our part. Ultimately, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a home loan.

Shawn’s in-depth knowledge of the mortgage loan application and processing knowledge, coupled with his experience and expertise dealing with VA loans made this experience stress-free. His team, namely Rochelle and Michelle, were incredibly helpful and timely with all of their efforts. 10 of 10, will recommend.

Highly likely. They work with you and are accommodating. However be sure to check what is necessary and what is not in closing. That makes all the difference in the world. But overall they are a great brokerage to work with.

Looking for a mortgage... CALL SHAWN!!! When I called Shawn, he picked up immediately after normal working hours and started working on my application that night even though it was after 9pm. Where normal mortgage services asked for at least 30 days to close, Shawn closed in 2 weeks. Shawn knew all the tips-and-tricks to help me arrange my finances/assets so I could qualify for the best loan/interest rate possible. Doubt there is a person – let alone a software – that can walk someone through the process better than Shawn.
