Excellent company! My apologies! I confused this company with the one that performed an inspection on my first property in Castle Rock. Ben performed the Miner's Candle and Silver Rock inspections. Very thorough and excellent reporting. Chris in the office is also excellent.

Excellent and comprehensive review of the property.

Our inspection was easy with such informative reviews and notes given while touring and inspecting the property. They gave details that we wouldn’t have known otherwise and helped us investigate an issue with our furnace workmanship that could have stopped the deal from closing. 10/10 would recommend!

They were thorough and timely, and explained their process to me when I was at the property.

Our inspector did good work. Other companies will include in their report an executive summary with a upfront list of recommendations. HIE report was not structured this way, it was difficult to go through and quickly figure out what was a recommended change versus descriptive.

Adam at HIE did two inspections for me, and saved me from falling into a money pit and making sure the next house was the one for me. You need this kind of thoroughness when buying a new home, especially with prices being the way they are now.

I booked the appointment at 4:45 pm on Friday for the following Monday appointment (with them closing at 5 pm and being closed on Saturday and Sunday). Over the weekend some undisclosed complications came up and I terminated the contract. I tried to cancel the appointment (prepaid $400) first thing on Monday. And they refused to refund my money. After my real estate agent tried to barter with them saying they could keep the money for the next inspection, they said no. They did finally give back all but $75 since their cancellation policy was 36 business hours in advance and since I booked less than 36 hours in advance they agreed that there was no way I could have given them 36 hour notice.

Our inspector was thorough and walked us through everything. It was a "complex" property to inspect so we appreciated the detail (and duration) of time spent there. One "negative" point was that we weren't able to locate sub-panels for electrical, and weren't informed of that until it was too late to correct with the sellers. If we had known immediately we could have got that information and had a more complete inspection.

I'm very pleased with HIE. I utilized HIE's inspection services in conjunction with one of their structural engineers. They were thorough and provided me with a detailed report afterwards. I would recommend HIE to any prospective buyer.

Detailed work with great customer service.

Solid. The inspector took a LOT of time inspecting the property and explained, to a not-so-confident-homeowner what should, could, and ought to be done. I use the report as a playbook for my home maintenance plan.

The inspection was very thorough and detailed. They did miss a crack in the heat exchange of our furnace, but overall we were very pleased with the inspection.
