If you want a quick once-over on your inspection, then Mark is not for you. If you want a thorough and in-depth evaluation of your home and its systems, then look no further. Mark arrived before our appointment and began his evaluation of the exterior. We arrived and he explained what he would be looking for, what he would be showing us, and what questions we had about the process. During the inspection, Mark maintained written and verbal notes and took pictures that eventually ended up in our inspection report. Mark spent over 3 hours going through our home and explaining how things operate and how to correct any deficiencies. He was absolutely great and I would use him again.

Very, very detailed inspection. I truly appreciated the fact that he took the time to explain the mechanics of the house to me as we went through the inspection. Also, he told me that he would be available by phone if I had any questions after closing. A very nice touch!

Mark seemed very thorough during our home inspection. We contacted him because of his expertise in historic homes and this home is over 200 years old. The inspection lasted an unbelievably long time (nearly 9 hours)! Prior to the home inspection, we had sent him the address and the listing. However, when he arrived at the home inspection and walked around a little bit, he said that the house was bigger and more involved than he had realized and needed to increase the inspection fee by $200. We were between a rock and a hard place, so we agreed. At the end of the inspection, he said that because it took so long, if we wanted to pay him more for his time, he would appreciate it. I did not give him any more money. And boy am I glad that I didn't. After his inspection (all of his comments were that specialists should be contacted to evaluate a variety of areas) we had specialty inspections (roof, electrical, masonry, etc... all at our expense) and ended up not proceeding with the purchase of this home.
