Title Forward did not do their job, were rude, and very difficult to work with from start to finish. From expecting me to sign five days in advance of closing and giving one days notice of their demand to having an escrow officer yell at me several times because I would not sign incorrect documents that were to be notarized. She claimed she would correct them after they were notarized. I believe that is illegal. She did not care and said I had to do what worked for her. She didn't have the documents ready on time the first time. She did not communicate with the mobile notary and I and my realtor had to follow-up with her repeatedly to figure out what was happening. She refused to have me come into the office to sign and insisted it had to be a mobile notary. Very awkward considering we were packed and waiting to sign papers in an empty home. She didn't apprise us that there were issues with the buyers funds until the day of closing. Needless to say we did not close on time. My realtor had to repeatedly follow up with the title company because they wouldn't keep her updated either. In the end we gave them a notice of default and the title company still did not cooperate. After four days after we were originally scheduled to close we finally got it done. The title company went one day past the final due date. It was eight days after I signed the closing documents and the escrow officer originally claimed she would have difficulty getting everything ready on time. She definitely did struggle to get the paperwork completed and delivered to the County Recorder on time and the buyer almost lost the home entirely because of her and her team. It was a terrible and stressful experience.
