Thank you for your feedback, at Closeline, we truly value feedback from our customers. We are terribly sorry that there were challenges locating our contact information and the other missteps in your time working with us. We try to make sure our contact information is always available by including it in all of our company emails and prominently on our website. We also apologize about any miscommunication about the total taxes due. In the state of Maryland, taxes are paid, typically, twice per year. One payment is due on 09/30 and the other payment is due on 12/30. It is very likely that there were tax payments or non-postings by the tax office that occurred resulting in late changes to the tax collections. We attempt to be precise as possible—around tax time it can be quite a challenge. As far as not receiving the settlement statement in a timely manner, this is an unfortunate circumstance that resulted from a—now fixed—poor system. We try to offer the best service possible to our customers and hope you will reconsider working with us in the future. As far as not receiving the settlement statement in a timely manner, this is an unfortunate circumstance that resulted from a—now fixed—poor system. Prior to new regulations, lenders were not required to provide actual information and ‘hard” numbers to buyers in advance. We also fell victim to this challenge. The good news is that this will not happen again since the new TRID rules prohibit it.
