My wire to Fidelity Investments failed due to not enough information necessary to complete the transaction. This was a major inconvenience and required far more time and involvement than should have been necessary. I filled out the wire instruction sheet with all the information Consumers First requested - all fields were completed in conjunction with a Fidelity rep. The rep was perplexed by the incompleteness of the form but we filled it out the way C.F. wanted it. C.F. overnights a cashiers check if the wire fails. This, putatively, is to protect against wire fraud. That's fine but a $200K cashiers check in a FedEx flat tossed on my porch without the requirement for a signature is just not smart and not safe. It's as if C.F. is just washing their hands of the transaction. There is a real problem with package theft and this procedure is not safe. In the end, Ronni Ackermann made it right and the wire went through but it took far more effort than it should have.

They were totally fine- everything was smooth.
