Great closing

My closing was at 9am and I didn't receive the final documents until the 4:15pm the day before. When I finally received the documents, they were incorrect. Every title company should know HOA dues are due the first of the month and will take a couple of days to be received. They requested my amount due from my HOA in the 2nd...Knowing I close on the 9th, they should have known to request an updated balance from my HOA. April who was responsible for handling everything lacked the experience to get the docs over in time and to make sure to request a newly updated balance if the one received was from the 2nd.

Real Estate Settlements & Escrow services were perfectly fine. But that seems like an odd thing to recommend to a friend.

I’m only selecting a single star because zero stars was not an option. Never have I encountered an organization that was more error-prone, more lackadaisical, and less professional than RESE. During the critical time of closing that I worked with RESE, I continually felt as if I had to do their jobs for them—that I had to be proactive about correcting errors and getting information—because they were neither proactive nor communicative unless so prompted. I have patience for human error. I expect that factor to multiply when you take into consideration the numerous settlements they must perform on a regular basis. But I similarly expect that when these errors occur, a company who is being paid for a service will be diligent about correcting those errors, improving customer service, and striving to be the best company out there. In my case, that simply did not happen—and as such, I will never recommend RESE to anyone.

Stacy was great to work with. She was assigned to me due to another agent being on vacation. She jumped right in and helped out. She had a great rapport, and answered all my questions. She even followed up to all emails to make sure I understood the process as I was closing remotely. A true professional,
