Our experience with Universal Title was pretty awful. There were several problems. They could never keep contact information straight between me and my mother, even after being corrected on the issue. I would call and would get voicemail almost every time. I would request a callback to my phone specifically and the agent would call my mother’s phone instead- or sometimes not call back at all. Then I would have to get my realtor to get in touch with them. Their lawyer joined a call once and when I asked for clarification on nearly identical terminology he copped an attitude and told us he couldn’t advise us- that we would need our own lawyer- and even after restating that all I wanted was a definition he said, “It doesn’t matter, just pick one!” Well, his outburst and bad attitude led to a rewrite of the draft because the option that allegedly didn’t matter happened to matter very much after all. I caught the Universal Title agent in a lie once. They have not produced the title as quickly as promised. I will never deal with them again.

Closing was extremely smooth and organized. Staff was on hand to answer any questions.

UT was fantastic to work with in finalizing my property purchase that was the completion of a 1031 tax deferred exchange.
