I would not hesitate to use James again! Not pushy, answered all my questions in a timely manner. His primary concern was not getting a sale, but rather that I the, customer, would be happy in the end
James is knowledgeable, congenial, and highly skilled, and we had full confidence in his guidance. From beginning to end he was responsive, attentive to our needs, and a friendly ally.
I loved working with James. I was looking for a non intrusive agent, with James I would get a candid and informative response. I would recommend him to others, especially in the SW Minneapolis area.

As others have said, James was friendly when we could reach him, but mostly we felt like our family was a low priority and afterthought for James. He did help us more on the buying end, but we were completely put into the Redfin machine for selling. Once our house was ready to be listed, he never came out to see it to provide guidance. He didn't steer us toward what photos to keep or remove or even what the cover photo should be. Anything we wanted him to do, we had to take initiative and reach out to him. Once, when we were really concerned about a tricky situation, I tried to see if he could briefly call me and he shut that down. Text or email was the only option he seemed open to. There were lots of pieces of the contract that he didn't advise us on. If we hadn't looked things over carefully and used AI to help go over it to, we would have lost out on thousands. Honestly, we may have lost out on thousands just because we didn't have a realtor who was actually invested. I'm not sure that what we saved with Redfin was worth it and I wouldn't recommend anyone go with them based on this experience. I feel bad that the first realtor we were assigned with Redfin was low-experience, so I swapped him for James. I now think a newer realtor would have been more motivated and worked harder for the purchase and subsequent sale. Even when we were waiting to hear if our house sale had closed, we had to message James to find out if it had actually gone through. I really wish I had more positive things to say because I liked James as a person, but it felt like we never had a partner in either the buying or selling process.

James was a fantastic agent for us over the course of a fairly prolonged search. He quickly responded to all our inquiries and provided sound feedback and advice throughout our process. On several occasions James helped out with creative solutions to help our offers stand out. We couldn't be happier with the property we landed on.
