US Bank was quick and helpful during the pre-approval process. Their mortgage rates were the best we found after getting several estimates. Their online system was very easy to use and they were responsive with all of the requests and questions I had. When we made our offer with pre-approval in hand, it took a longer time than expected to get the final approval. The underwriters didn't begin looking into our loan until a few days before our closing date, 2-3 weeks later. We ended up having to extend our closing date twice using the COVID provision of our agreement. This is not really the bank's fault but made for a stressful few weeks for us.
