Though the process was completed successfully, there were three key issues toward the end of the closing that made us question the integrity of North American Title/Doma. These were: 1) they requested that we "pad" our final escrow payment by a couple hundred dollars to cover any unforeseen expenses that might arise. 2) they asked us to sign a form indicating that we wanted to close on a Monday or the day after a holiday when our closing was scheduled to be completed on a Friday at approximately $200 additional cost to us. 3) they told us that our lender had requested this form be filled out this way, but our broker/lender confirmed they had *not* requested this change. In all, we would use NAT again, but we would be very careful in reviewing all of the paperwork and fees.
