We had plenty of time between signing the agreement and the closing date and yet the closing date was pushed back by a couple of days because Fidelity was overwhelmed by closing all units in our new construction building. Also, they caused additional issues by not communicating clearly and directly with me (they went through my Redfin agent) and didn't inform me of everything I needed to prepare at signing.

We tried to give Fidelity title company (the branch on Sutter St) the benefit of the doubt but they were really pretty bad. We had to resign documents because they messed up; this delayed our close not once but twice. We could forgive them making mistakes if they were up front about them but they were not. When we needed help and were trying to sort through resigning the documents, the person from Fidelity who was supposed to be working with us could not be reached--first the phones were suddenly "down," then he was on jury duty, then all of a sudden the branch manager was answering the phone instead of reception. This could all be a coincidence, but they handled things so poorly otherwise that I think it was not. I cannot recommend them.
