Our rep for First American Title Company was wayyy too overloaded. She had too many cases to deal with and was not responsive to us. For the entire 30-day closing process up until the day before closing we had not been able to successfully reach her. Finally we got a hold of her the day before closing and learned she had not had time to review our files because she has so many cases all closing the next day, including several in our community. But once we got a hold of her, she pulled out all stops to get our closing document prepared, arrange for a notary that night so we could sign documents (even though notary scheduling was backed up by several weeks due to COVID), and managed to help us successfully close on time the next day. However after closing we still have not received our final closing documents, our overpayment refund, or even our title documents. I think if First American Title had not overloaded her with so many cases to handle, it wouldn’t have been such a negative experience for us. She’s clearly very experienced and knowledgeable and we enjoyed talking with her when we finally got a hold of her, but she had way too much on her plate and therefore could not offer a good customer service experience during the whole closing process. It was a very stressful experience.

Fast, pretty accommodating during closing process.

First American was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. They even offered a mobile notary to save us a trip to one of their offices.

As the Title Company for the purchase of a new property, they did a good job in tracking and managing escrow, but being that no loan was approved, we did not go too far into the process with them.

Tamara from First American Title Company has been great to work with. She's very bright and cheerful, and was able to close our files quickly. She's also very responsive with her emails and always keeps us updated.
