My experience with Heather Walker from Stewart Title was not a pleasant one. As a first time buyer, I am not as familiar with the process and was looking for some guidance and customer service. She was condescending and rude the times I talked to her on the phone. She made me feel like an inconvenience and an annoyance rather than a client. I paid thousands of dollars to have professional service that can help me through the escrow process, while the escrow closed on time and nothing went wrong, I didn't feel I got the customer service I deserved. Heather is not based in the Bay Area where my new home is but she ensured my agent and I it would still be an easy process for us. Her being in Turlock actually put an extra day on the closing process because there was no way I could drive all the way over there for a signing. And when it was time to schedule the signing, she was out of the office and didn't inform my lender. All the documents were sent to her email but we needed to send to her assistant instead. However no one was told and it created quite a bit of stress for my lender and myself. They assigned Cristina from their Plesanton office to help me with the signing, and per my lender's advice, I asked her to double check in case I missed any signatures or initials seeing that the docs will be over-nighted to Turlock and it would be hard for me to fix any mistakes. Cristina was visibly annoyed that I even asked her to double check, and made me felt a little bad. But it turned out she did miss a page, fortunately my lender found a way to get around that and we still closed on time. Overall I didn't enjoy my experience with Stewart Title and can't say I would recommend them to anyone.
