Although the team did a great job educating me during the process, they did make several mistakes which greatly impacted the appearance of my loan options. These errors were corrected, but this did slow down my decision-making process and set unrealistic expectations/provide false optimism at the beginning of the process. My mortgage was sold to Freedom Mortgage after a couple of months which came as a surprise to me. This happened at a time where I was inundated with scam-adjacent mail regarding my mortgage, so without prior communication from First Alliance, I questioned the legitimacy of the notices and could have easily overlooked it. Lastly, despite making reasonable effort, I missed one of my first mortgage payments through the First Alliance platform. Although this may have been user-error using an unfamiliar platform, I was not informed of this until I read the balance due to Freedom Mortgage. Luckily, I did not incur any late fees.
