They were efficient, our escrow officer, Angie, was capable and communicative. Their mobile notary for signing our closing documents was awesome. At the close of escrow, we asked to have a physical check printed with our remaining balance, and they had it ready and waiting for me within 24 hours.

Chicago Title is the closing agen that Builder selected for us. Their fee is higher than others. You bearly get the update information from them until last minutes. Three days before closing, we was able to receive the closing disclosure that shows three HOA fees for a single home! It puts a lot of pressure for home buyers to sort out the mess in the last minute. I hope they improve their job: 1) reduce the high fee to match industrial standard. 2) keep customers updated 3) sort out the confusing before sending disclosure to customers. We recommend home buyers to shop around and make comparison before select a title company.

I wish communication was little better

All in all, I guess the experience was ok with Chicago Title. The biggest issue that we encountered was the during the signing it's self. We were able to receive our signing the Saturday before, so we had a chance to review all the documents. This was a process. We lined up our questions, most of which were answered before we came to the table for the signing. Through our review, we found a document that seemed out of place and didn't require a signature. It was a the privacy statement (or lack there of) regarding one's information as handled by Fidelity National Finanical Inc. We didn't know this company, but later found out that it is the owner of Chicago Title. Our Title Officer(?) didn't know anything about it, but it was in both the draft package we got before the signing and the final copy we received afterward. We asked for an opt-out form as described in the fine-print, so FNF may not use our information, which they have quite a bit of at this point. We have yet to receive final confirmation that we have been opted out of any information selling or sharing.

Chicago Title did a great job. Jessica was our closing agent and she was very friendly and got us taken care of quickly.

Everyone we dealt with at Chicago Title were courteous and efficient with their time and ours.
