Western was the most disappointing part of our home buying process. Our first title report (sent to our realtor, not us) had red flags which immediately concerned us, yet Western never directly contacted us. We had to initiate the corrective actions, rather than Western telling us what to do. All communication with them was initiated by us up until three business days before closing. We felt like we were in the dark the entire time with Western and were concerned we would not meet our close day based on the lack of communication. Thankfully we had a great mortgage advisor and realtor that helped us facilitate the process in ways Western should have. Our escrow agent was pleasant, but we expected much more communication and assurance that things were progressing smoothly.
