Notary, Ms. Geraldine S. witnessed our signatures at signing to close on new house. I was taken back by her rather cold demeanor. 1). This was exhibited by first pushing 2 blue pens across table to me and husband. I already had personal pen in hand. I signed first document w/ my pen (black ink) returned document and she chided me that papers needed to be signed in blue ink. I would have appreciated instruction along w/ pen. Had she told us that when she pushed pens at outset, I would have used the blue. 2) We felt hurried - She wanted my husband and I to quickly sign multiple papers without our review. She just shuffled them to and from us after signing brought to her attention our last name was misspelled on one of the documents. She said there must not have been enough room for name. It was obvious there was a letter missing from middle of name - no letters were dropped from end of name due to lack of space. Told her this is why I wanted to review documents before signing. It is the right thing to do. Professionally dressed.
