Ah, do you remember the days when you'd actually sit at a table with the escrow officer and sign the closing docs, getting answers to your questions, having things explained and leaving with copies? I'm tired of Covid being the excuse for much less service, with no reduction in rates. My escrow officer, Christine, did try to be available to take questions. But I had to call her, leave a message, hope I was available when she called back. I felt they treated my $1.6+ house purchase like an assembly line deal. Maybe they're short-staffed. They could have ordered the seller's pay-off sooner so we didn't have to re-negotiate my closing date---twice!
