I would not recommend Fidelity National Title and Escrow's services, unfortunately. I put down five thousand dollars in earnest money. This was not deducted from my final purchase price. I noticed and immediately contacted the agent I was working with. Him updating the contract to reflect the correct amount does not excuse the unprofessional mistake that could have resulted in me losing $4,900. It was said in the contract I only put down one hundred dollars. The agent I spoke with also wanted me to come into the office to sign. After setting up an appointment, he called me back and said since it was a cash deal, I did not have to come in and could sign electronically. These two errors tell me that this companies employees do not pay enough attention to detail. In a business such as title and escrow, that is unacceptable. I could have lost a lot of money, as well as time. Pay more attention in the future please. Such a huge discrepancy is just bad practice.
