Fidelity made us feel like just another transaction. We are coming from the East Coast and hadn't even seen the house in person before purchasing , which they knew, and Fidelity didn't seem like they understood our concerns. Most concerning was the request for additional identity information which they ended up not needing. Had they spent a few minutes looking at the file, they would have realized this wasn't necessary for a cash deal. When inquiring about the lack of form we were supposed to fill out, we got a PDF in an email and no explanation. Additionally, we were told they'd confirm our second wire transfer, which they did not until we reached out. Buying a house virtually is stressful enough and Fidelity's lack of communication did not help with this anxiety.
