This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a national company that strives for good customer service. My understanding is that each branch has its own management and independently run that’s not consistent with other branches. Christy Bunich manager and her team out of Mercer Island are the leading example of a branch that is opposite of what the company strives for in customer service. My phone calls would go unanswered, voicemails not returned, emails would take days to be replied to and they were by far the rudest people I’ve encountered. It started early in the process when they were rude about informing me about receiving my earnest money within the deadline. I sent several emails and had to leave several voicemails asking if they had received it. It wasn’t till the day after deadline they informed me they didn’t receive it. Out of my control my bank had a technical difficulty and the wire transfer was canceled although I had confirmation it went through. My my realtor, bank representative and myself had similar encounters when it would take forever to get a response from them. When they would respond they would use language that would make it seem it was such an inconvenience to them to be doing their jobs. They point fingers and blame everyone else for the lack of communication when in fact it was them who prolonged and might have influenced the delay of closing by 16 days. I felt that it was an inconvenience to them to speak to me. They would sigh when I was asking generalized questions and speak over me before I was done completing my question or sentence. At one point Christy Bunich was so nasty towards me that she asked for permission to talk after I repeatedly asked to her to stop talking over me. In context I was asking vague open ended questions that I’m positive are very common questions asked. I was not asking specific questions expecting an exact and concise answer. However in email and over the phone she was very rude and treated me with lack of any respect. It wasn’t till I told her that I reported her to corporate and spoke to her upper management that she tried to call me to diffuse the situation. However she further exacerbated the situation by treating me like I needed special treatment and being condescending towards me. With the experience I had I was ready to cancel the entire purchase because I couldn’t take the horrible customer service from them and just wanted to end it. If I ever see this company again as a title company I will back away from the deal. I will also be telling my family members and friends in real estate to not recommend this company especially from that branch.
