The First American Title experience was mixed. Their online portal made it very easy to correspond and submit documents. However, I've had to contact the HOA and ISP after the sale to cancel the autopayments that were supposed to be managed during closing. I don't know if this was the fault of First American or those other companies, but it's still an inconvenience.
The team at First American was fantastic. They were easy to work with and made extra effort to get things done during this difficult time with COVID-19.
Tiffany Brown our Escrow Officer was wonderful - she helped us navigate through a number of challenges that came up during our closing. Though we didn't make our planned closing date it was not for lack of doing everything possible on Tiffany's part - she's our escrow hero. Her assistant Melissa has been great to work with also as we have one issue to complete after our closing. Melissa has been keeping this on track and updated. The First American title team was great and assisted us through an extremely unique situation with responsive and helpful consideration they came up with a solution that made it possible for us to satisfy the lender and close our purchase.
They were able to close in 21 days which gave us the competitive edge over the other offers. When it came to signing all the paperwork for closing someone came to our house at 7pm. I highly recommend them.
