Point Escrow

We closed on time, which was the important thing. However, communication was extremely poor - emails went unanswered for 2 weeks despite repeated follow-ups. They didn't get recording numbers back to our agent for more than 2 hours after recording - in fact, I saw them on the county website hours before our agent got them. I did not have any of these issues with other escrow companies. Given the choice, I would choose one of the major players like First American or Chicago Title. Point Escrow did eventually do their job but frankly their fee should have been escrowed - their performance was not up to the level I would have expected.

They were great. They even sent someone over for the signing fo closing papers. Hassle free from start to finish.

We had a very easy and pleasant experience with Point Escrow. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer them to a friend or use them again.

Professional and efficient and able to accommodate me moving in from out of state to sign papers on the same days as closing.

Our loan is done and that's great but there were hiccups along the way with Point. One included a question from them the morning of closing about down payment funds that had already been paid. Made me question their organization and professionalism. All in all our loan closed on the original agreed upon date.

The service as okay, reasonably priced and I like that we got a free home warranty that we were going to give the sellers anyway. However Point escrow seems to miss the details. Even though they sent a person over to sign documents at our home – on a weekend - (rather than us going to their office) - which was really nice. They messed up the numbers as they didn’t calculate the correct listing commission even though they were told the correct commission a couple days earlier and it was written in the contract. (They listed the customary 3% when it should have been 1.5% for the listing agent).

Communications were very poor. Critical emails ended up in Point Escrows 'Junk' folder. Confidential information was transmitted in clear text. Had to remind them to respond to earlier emails multiple times.

Very professional and efficient. Good, smooth experience getting the paperwork done.

I don't know what to say about Point Escrow. They were able to get us to close on our closing day. We signed in the morning and closed in the afternoon which I'm told is unusual for this area. There were some errors such as not being emailed the papers the night before as was intended. The girl who presented our papers was unable to answer some of our questions which I found odd but we were able to get the answers we needed from our realtor and lender.

Point Escrow was a disaster to work with, there are too many reasons why I wouldn't want to work with them again. But major items were left off the HUD, that me and Tammi (my Redfin agent) had to constant bother them about.

i do not know much about a Escrow service but i was not quit happy with them - i thing they are charging way above average
