I was somewhat puzzled by the seller's (listing agent's?) selection of Redwood Escrow. With no website that I could find and no clear explanation of the fees, this felt like a questionable choice for such a large transaction. The fees did end up being larger than the lender, Redfin agent, and I all expected, but this was only disclosed a few days from closing. All that said, the escrow agent we met in person for the signing appointment was perfectly nice, and we had no problems completing the transaction quickly and efficiently. I can't say that I would use them for my own sale, but they did adequate job.

They were okay. There were some issues with my lender on the paperwork & they seemed to really want to focus time pointing fingers at my lender & blaming them. Closing was delayed and they didn't send all of the paperwork with the notary...it was THEIR paperwork that they forgot to include & kept blaming everything on my lender & reminding me that this was all really rushed -which is not my fault I didn't turn anything in late. My lender stepped up to hustle & do what was necessary to get things done & Redwood seemed to just keep saying well this is all last minute. The damage was done, we were all sorry, a mistake was made my lender didn't do it on purpose lets stop dwelling on it and focus on getting things resolved. I'm sure this is not the first time things were late & just because someone is late doesn't mean you do not check your work & double check that you have everything for the notary. The notary called the escrow company about the missing paperwork & they were a little curt w/her and AGAIN playing the blame game. Our seller wanted us to use them. I had been warned they were not that great. I have to agree I am not impressed. I'm the customer, don't air the dirty laundry with me just get it done.
