Fast and easy to work with

Unfortunately, my transaction did not go through so I only had minimal interactions with The Escrow Source. I was super impressed they mailed my escrow refund check the same day my transaction fell through and it was in my hand the next day.

The Escrow Source was a terrible company to work with start to finish. The sellers of our new house insisted on them, and I cannot understand why. They were slow to communicate with both us and the bank, even when we were asking for very simple, basic information like where we needed to drop the earnest money off and what forms of payment they accepted. They were *extremely* slow to communicate with the bank, and almost delayed our closing date, which would have been catastrophic for us, as our lease was ending the Sunday after our Friday closing date. They failed to send the bank their basic fee schedule for an entire week, despite repeated attempts from the bank to engage them. Even when we got to the close, they repeatedly gave us the wrong number for our closing costs, claiming the bank was wrong when it was not. This led to us having to get 3 different checks to cover the eventual whole amount. Through the whole process, there was seemingly no awareness or the least whisper of apology for their dropping of every ball that was handed to them. Even at the end, they seemed to believe that they had delivered us satisfactory service, which they did not in any way. Do not use the Escrow Source if you have any choice in the matter!
