Robert - on the first call - clearly described to us how closing worked in FL and the part (or parts) he could play in it. The sales contract required not only initial earnest money but a second deposit on the sale of our existing home (only ten days before the closing date).
On top of all this, we had a hurricane (Irma) interpose itself in the process so not only did the closing documents have to be updated - but they had to be updated when his office in Boca Raton was disrupted because of power loss (at least for the staff if not for the office itself). He was just as clear in explaining the purpose and place of each document we signed as he was at the initial phone meeting.
Closing and escrow require someone you can trust (not only to be honest but competent and thorough); Robert has all three of these in good measure. We never doubted putting our cash or our purchase in his hands.
Thanks, Robert - we're happy in our home (even amidst all the boxes and packing paper).
