Not the service I would expect from tenured agents. Rocky experience from start to end. I’m a young Asian woman. The treatment and communication received would have been different if I looked like the agents. I worked with one agent for 2-3 weeks and then was transferred. I received several emails stating that work needed to be completed. Earnest money was paid and all paperwork was done by my mortgage company and sent to Fidelity. My last interaction was in person to close on the house. The first person that greeted me was warm and friendly. She asked, “Are you the only one signing?” Her tone was definitely surprised. I replied, “Yes, just me.” The title agent I was just transferred to was meeting with another client. I was reassigned again to another agent to sign final documents. It was obvious this agent didn’t even review the paperwork. Her comments included, “Is this a condo?”, “Are you living by yourself?” Then she commented , “No matter how many people you have living in your house, you are responsible for the mortgage.” The documents clearly states it’s a single family home, and only 3 occupants. This includes my son and partner. Purchasing a house is a big milestone for the many people. Please review the documents being notarized by Fidelity and leave the micro aggression comments at home. This is a business.
