We signed documents the first thing in the morning the day before our closing date. Our officer was on vacation, so her assistant was notarizing and signing docs with us, telling us what documents were and where to sign and initial. The day of closing 11 am we get an email saying that we're missing some initials and she would get a courier to deliver the document between the 3 of us, Redmond, Seattle and then Chicago Title. After looking at the document, we distinctly remember signing the day before, we asked if there was something that had changed. Her reply was no, initials were missing. The document didn't get back until after 1:30 and we were worried we'd miss our closing date with the recorders office. Never got any sort of apology or I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I understand they must be busy and things happen but that was a lot of unnecessary stress to go through last minute. In our situation, it didn't help us to sign the docs as quickly as possible since they didn't look at them again until day of. We didn't have any other problems with them otherwise, contact seemed to be a little slow via email but everything else was done in time.
